Tuesday, November 25, 2008 – updated: 12:30 pm EST November 25, 2008

The Mercer County Prosecutor will determine what charges will be filed against a Coldwater man accused of trying to flee police Monday night.

The driver is identified by police as Mark A. Miller, 62.

A Coldwater police officer stopped Miller on a traffic violation on Woodview Drive.

After refusing to exit his truck, a police officer reached into the vehicle to grab the keys, Miller reportedly put the truck into drive and drove away. Officer Dave Powell was pulled a short distance down the street from the window, but was not injured.

The truck was stopped a short time later at West Main Street and North Cedar Street.

A struggle ensued, according to the police report, and Miller was stunned with a Taser.

When Miller was finally removed from his truck, the vehicle rolled forward into a Coldwater police cruiser and caused minor damage.

Coldwater police were aided by Mercer County deputies.
